System Icons


You will notice, if you haven't already, that icons are used throughout your web site to represent actions that you can perform. Icons are also used to indicate the status of each of the forms that are part of an active document. This topic explains the general use and meaning of all of the icons used in your site.

 The add entry button appears frequently as it is used to add items to various lists and pages depending on your location within the site.

 A green check mark indicates that all of the required fields in a form have been completed.

 A yellow exclamation mark indicates that all of the required fields in a form have been completed, but some optional fields are empty. This is only a warning and will not prevent the user from changing the document's state.

 A red X is shown when when at least one required field in a form is empty. The document's state usually cannot be changed by a user while any of its forms are incomplete unless the user has an the necessary permission.

 Export the selected objects to a comma separated values (CSV) formatted file.

 Import information from a CSV file.

 Print the selected objects.

 Navigate to the previous or next page in a list of objects with the left or right arrow. Go directly to a page by clicking on the page number.

You can specify the maximum number of objects per page in your user preferences.

 Edit the properties of the object. An object's properties can range from the values entered in a document to the database definition of the main form of that document.

 Make a copy of the object. The copy is added to the with a default name of copy of <the original object's name> and the object's property page is displayed for you to edit.

 View the permissions of a particular user type - in general or in relation to the ability to change a document's state.

 View the preferences associated with the object or criteria for a filter

 These buttons both allow you to add a filter, one is from the main menu and one is from within a folder.  All actions are available with either button.  The second is just meant to pre-populate some information to make it easier to place.
